Rayver Cruz denies causing spat between Angel Locsin and Cristine Reyes By ALEX VALENTIN BROSAS July 13, 2010, 1:20pm The constant going out of Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes recently has reportedly caused a spat between Ara Mina’s younger sister and Angel Locsin, who are both members of Ampalaya Anonymous. Quick to deny that he was the cause of the two actresses’ misunderstanding, Rayver said he’s clueless as to what caused the fued between the two, if there's any. “Actually, wala talaga akong alam. Kung ano man ang meron sa kanila ngayon, kung may nababalitang ganyan, sana maayos nila. Saka alam ko naman na magkaibigan sila,” the dancer-actor explained on “Showbiz News Ngayon” on July 12. Flatly, Rayver denied causing the rift between the two sexy actresses. “Imposibleng maging ako ‘yung dahilan.” Rayver shared that Cristine had not told him of any animosity between her and Angel. “Wala, wala. Tahimik na tao ‘yon (Cristine).” And like his previous statements, Rayver, for the nth time, denied there’s something romantic brewing between him and Cristine. “We’re friends. Lumalabas naman kami. Basta okay, kaibigan ko si Cristine kaya natutuwa ako kasi nga lumalawak na ‘yong mga nagiging friends ko. Hindi katulad dati na kami lang ng utol ko,” he explained. He laments that in showbiz, even a night out with friends could easily get misconstrued. “Alam mo naman sa trabaho natin, once lang makasama mo o makita kayong magkasama, meron na kaagad something.” Interstingly, Rayver was almost tongue-tied when he was asked if there’s a possibility of him falling for Cristine. “Ewan ko, kasi busy ‘yon, eh. Usher, a stingy performer! by: Evo Contrivida | STIR Contributor A lot of stars went down to the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds to hear Usher emote his RnB hits. Sighted were Dr. Vicki Belo and Cristalle Henares, Ruffa Gutierrez, Chavit Singson, Lovi Poe, Paolo Contis and Lian, Oyo Sotto and Kristine Hermosa, Raymund Gutierrez, Carla Humpries, Cheska Litton, Sam Concepcion, Enchong Dee, Angel Locsin[/color], Dimples Romana, Rocco Nacino, Bayani Agbayani, Patrick Garcia among others. But Usher turned out he’s a stingy performer. There was a big clamor for him to show his photogenic abs but he preferred to keep them hidden. His concert lasted exactly an hour, no more, no less. He did even bother to give in for the crowd’s big clamor for an extra song. Most felt the huge talent fee he received for the effort – and the big amounts of hard-earned money shelled out by the audience for tickets – is not worth the show! John Lloyd Cruz says he’s ready to do action scenes for ‘Imortal’ by Rachelle Siazon | July 13, 2010 8:31 AM Although John Lloyd Cruz is keeping mum about the story of Imortal, there have been reports that he will be playing a vampire while Angel Locsin will play a werewolf just like her role in Lobo. But all he was willing to say is that he already started training for the action scenes that are needed for the show. “May ganong touch, pero sa akin naman kung anong kailangan sa eksena at storya wala namang problema. So kung makita mo ako na medyo may konting porma na action, walang problema, kayang-kaya,” he confidently said in an interview with ABS-CBN.com last July 8. When asked if he’s ready to be an action star, the multitalented actor merely laughed since this will be his first time to be doing a fantaserye. “Ako yung mas nangangapa talaga kasi si Angel gamay na niya yung fantaserye na genre. First time ko talagang sasabak sa ganitong klaseng teleserye. Kaya nandun yung kaba and naninibago pa ako, hindi pa ako nasasanay. Pero yung level of excitement mataas kasi panibagong journey ito para sa akin.” As a matter of fact, he had to take a break from his physical training since he recently got sick. “Hindi namin nakakasama si Angel pero kami nila Maricar Reyes at Jake Roxas, nag-aaral kami ng mixed martial arts. Pero yung last training namin nilagnat ako so stop muna siya.” Given Angel’s fondness for action-packed soaps, many were wondering if she’s helping John Lloyd in this aspect. But the young actress clarified that she’s not really in the position to teach him the skills that he needs to learn for Imortal. “Parang ang kapal naman ng mukha ko na may ituturo ako kay John Lloyd. Rumors persist that they have parted ways but to this day, neither of the two had confirmed nor denied the matter. He was brought up well by his parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos and he just can’t lie or be “showbiz.” In our Hong Kong show, I hosted a game where OFW women would get to ask Luis a question answerable by yes or no. These women were very witty with their questions. They were better than Boy Abunda. The first OFW lass asked Luis if he was still with Angel Locsin. Luis couldn’t lie or give a showbiz remark to 15,000 OFWs who stood for eight hours waiting for us to perform and answered the truth. “Hindi na po. Di po ako puwede magsinungaling sa inyo pero ikinalulungkot ko pong sabihing hindi na po kami talaga ni Angel.
