Angel Locsin denies that her friends ganged up on Pauleen Lunaby Bernie Franco | May 18, 2010 9:48 AM www.abs-cbn.com/Feature/Article/7489/Angel-Locsin-denies-that-her-friends-ganged-up-on-Pauleen-Luna.aspxAngel Locsin spoke up about the controversy involving her friends from their group, Ampalaya Anonymous. Some of her friends had allegedly ganged up on Pauleen Luna because she was being linked to showbiz newcomer JC Tiuseco who reportedly had something going with Ampalaya member Maxene Magalona. To defend Maxene, Cristine Reyes, Bianca King, Glaiza de Castro, and Bubbles Paraiso allegedly posted nasty comments against Pauleen on a social networking site. Angel began by saying that Ampalaya Anonymous started out as a joke and that she is surprised that some people are putting unpleasant labels on their group. “Nakakatawa lang kasi tingin sa amin ng iba is gang. Hindi naman kami nagmi-meet para magsiraan tayo ng tao tapos wala lang. Siyempre mga busy rin lang kami,” she explained. The actress said that although most of the members of the group are her friends, she is not close to all of them. She also said that she does not know the full details about the controversy, but revealed that she and Pauleen have recently communicated and that everything is okay between them. She also defended Maxene, who supposedly encouraged her group-mates to post disparaging comments about Pauleen on Twitter. “Mas maganda kasi kung ang ganitong mga bagay napag-uusapan namin nang private,” Angel explained. “Hindi ‘yung lumalaki dahil napag-uusapan namin sa media. Sa trabahong ito kokonti lang tayo magsisiraan pa ba tayo? Napakaliit na isyu puwedeng gawan ng paraan.” She said that as far as she knows, no one in her group has done such a thing. “Ang tao hindi perpekto pero hindi naman dahil may naririnig tayo ay totoo.” She also gave a plea for people to givethe group the benefit of the doubt. “Paano namin makikilala ang tao kung sarado yung utak mo. Hindi po kami perpekto pero hindi naman po kami masasamang tao.” Angel also clarified that while she will defend her friends, she would not tolerate any wrongdoing on their part either. “Makakarinig talaga sa akin pero hindi kita iiwan.”

Angel Locsin shrugs off negative comments about her upcoming movie with Aga MuhlachRommel Placente Tuesday, May 18, 2010 08:33 AMMay gagawing pelikula si Angel Locsin kapareha si Aga Mulach mula sa Star Cinema. "It's a beautiful love story. Hindi siya yung usual na ini-expect ninyo sa mga pelikulang ginagawa ko o yung ginagawa ni Kuya Aga. Iba kasi yung story, e. Na kahit na si Kuya Aga na ilang pelikula na ang nagawa, dito sobrang excited siya kasi ang ganda ng pagkakasulat talaga. And siyempre, si Inang [Olivia Lamasan] pa yung magdidirek. So kami, looking forward. "And ano kami, e, alisto kami siyempre, di ba? Ako bilang isang baguhang artista saka first time akong mahahawakan ni Inang. First time kong makakatrabaho si Kuya Aga.
TELESERYE WITH JOHN LLOYD. May communication pa ba sila ni Gov. Vi? "Nag-congratulate ako sa kanya through text nung manalo siya," banggit ni Angel. Kumusta na sila ni Luis? "We're okay," sagot niya.

The sex goddesses of yesteryear FUNFARE By Ricardo F. Lo (The Philippine Star) Updated May 21, 2010 12:00 AM Had the likes of Marian Rivera, Angel Locsin, Katrina Halili, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban and Cristine Reyes been around in the mid-’70s and ’80s, they surely would be sex goddesses of the big screen. Then, when Filipino movies were at their peak, launching nymphets to solo stardom was in vogue. Think of the sexy stars producer Jesse Ejercito built up. Alma Moreno in Ligaw na Bulaklak, Lorna Tolentino in Dulce Amor, Ina, Elizabeth Oropesa in Mister Mo, Lover Boy Ko, Chanda Romero in Sa Kagubatan ng Lungsod, Daria Ramirez in Lord, Give Me a Lover, Beth Bautista in Huwag, Bayaw and Amy Austria in Tondo Girl. Actually, some of those stars were no longer nymphets when they were launched to stardom. But just the same they were packaged as young and desirable. Yes, nymphets. Except for Alma, Papa Jessie’s Belles — as they were billed — became award-winning actresses. But it must be said that Alma’s acting had improved considerably through the years. Alma is now a Parañaque councilor (who ran for reelection at the May 10 election), married to a mayor from the South, a Muslim. In 1974, Gloria Diaz (1969 Miss Universe) belatedly entered the movies via Celso Ad. Castillo’s Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa which started the wet look. After her, every nymphet in movietown had to do a wet scene — by the sea or river, batalan, shower room, artesian well. Every place imaginable. Like Papa Jessie’s Belles, Gloria turned into a fine actress, winning several trophies, the last for Sagrada Familia. Mother Lily Monteverde had her share of build-up stars going the sexy route, wearing her fabled “magic kamison.” They included Gina Alajar in Diborsyada, Rio Locsin in Disgrasyada, Cherie Gil in Problem Child, Dina Bonnevie in Katorse, Snooky Serna in Bata Pa Si Sabel and Kristine Garcia in Exploitation. Yes, the great Gina Alajar wore Mother Lily’s “magic kamison.” This was in the early ’80s when she was already a young wife to Michael de Mesa and mother to Ryan Eigenman. Of course, there were male sex symbols and matinee idols paired with those nymphets and sex goddesses. Think of George Estregan, Ricky Belmonte, Ernie Garcia, Vic Vargas, Jimi Melendez, Alfie Anido, Gabby Concepcion, Albert Martinez, Al Tantay and Orestes Ojeda. Elwood Perez and the late Joey Gosiengfiao directed most of Mother Lily’s movies produced under the Regal banner. During the ’90s, Filipino movies started to decline. Producers no longer gambled on so-called launching films topbilled by nymphets. And so these days, such desirable ladies as Marian, Angel, Katrina, Anne, Bea, Angelica and Cristine are cast in melodrama and romantic comedies, in which the sexiest they can go is wear bikinis and engage in kissing scenes with their leading men. In terms of skin exposure the most daring and baring is Anne, while Angelica is “game” in passionate love scenes. But only up to a point as producers (usually Star Cinema and GMA Films) won’t allow their pictures to be classified “For Adults Only.” Adult films can’t be shown in SM, the biggest theater chain in the country. Surely, they can’t afford to lose SM theaters. Of course, Marian, Angel and company are seen on primetime television which took over the popularity of movies. One can’t help remembering with fondness sex goddesses of yesteryear. this is old info on angel but a nice read ..i just pick out interesting parts ... source: www.gmanews.tvTHE NEWCOMER CLICKS. Six years ago, Angel first appeared on GMA-7's Click. She played the twin sister of Richard Gutierrez and the love interest of Bryan Revilla, and later, of Railey Valeroso. The fans instantly liked Charley, nickname for her Charlotte role. The viewing public found her beauty utterly refreshing and charming. Fans wrote in the Internet forums, "para siyang bagong gising parati." Her contemporaries, Chynna Ortaleza and Karen delos Reyes, are both products of TV ads (Chynna endorsed a soft drink brand, while Karen appeared on a popular fast-food chain TV commercial). Write-ups would later divulge that Angel's work attitude and versatility put her a cut above the rest. It was on the set of the youth-oriented show that she met Mico Sotto, the son of Vic Sotto's older brother Maru and radio host Ali Sotto. The two fell in love but their relationship was tragically cut short. Six months after they officially became a couple, Mico accidentally fell from his ninth floor condominium unit, causing the young actor's untimely demise. Eight months after Mico's death, Angel Locsin rose to stardom. WINGS FOR ANGEL. In August 2004, Angel spread her wings as Alwina in GMA-7's grand production, Mulawin, in a role that would have been Maxene Magalona's if the latter had not declined it in favor of her studies. Angel was paired with Richard Gutierrez, now the biggest young male star of GMA-7. Mulawin, together with GMA-7's Extra Challenge, dramatically pulled up the average-to-good ratings of the network's primetime block. The show averaged 35.5%, the highest ratings for a fantaserye at that time. After Mulawin, Angel became Narda in Darna, another GMA-7 fantasy-adventure. Sans wings, Angel continued to soar to the skies and to capture the hearts of the public. She became every kid's heroine and every man's fantasy. She posed for FHM magazine the same year Darna was aired and became FHM's sexiest Pinay in 2005. Then she also did Majika and Asian Treasures, both successful primetime shows of GMA-7. From 2004 to 2007, Angel was a staple figure on TV's evening programming. In between, she top-billed blockbuster movies like Let the Love Begin (GMA Films); Sigaw and Text (Regal Entertainment); I Will Always Love You, Mulawin: The Movie, and The Promise (GMA Films and Regal Entertainment). And then, the biggest prize of them all: the numerous endorsements. GMA-7 senior vice-president for entertainment Wilma Galvante recently announced that GMA Artist Center closed deals with various brands for Angel Locsin amounting to 60-million pesos. These days, some PEP users wonder how Angel got so lucky. They say "she doesn't really have the talent." Indeed, her acting is not outstanding and there are many young stars who can deliver on those roles better. But the people who have worked with her attest to her dedication and professionalism. Her manager said in a PEP article dated July 22: "Si Angel matiisin ‘yan, e. Remember, she had this laser sa left eye niya? Sobrang matiisin na ‘pag nagbabasa siya ng script almost sa mukha na niya." Redgie Magno, GMA-7 program manager was also heard once, saying: "Si Angel naman, kapag nag-commit na ‘yang magtrabaho, kahit ‘di na ‘yan matulog, okay lang sa kanya." LOVE MATCH. On February 11, 2005, or fourteen months after Mico's death, another young man caught the love bug. He was Oyo Boy Sotto, Mico's first cousin and son of Box Office King Vic Sotto. He fell in love with the girl he was calling, "‘Tol," which is the Tagalog slang for "brother." As Oyo narrated in the October 2006 issue of YES! magazine, his first admission was relayed via text. Here's his story: "Hi, Angel'—so, nag-iba na, Angel na ang tawag ko sa kanya, hindi na 'Tol'—‘it was nice seeing you. I just want to tell you something, pero you don't have to reply naman. Bahala ka na. Basta gusto ko lang malaman mo ito.' "Sumagot siya, ‘Bakit, ano 'yon?' "Sabi ko, ‘I think I'm falling for you!'" "Yong reply pa niya sa akin: ‘'Tol, nagkamali ka yata ng text.' Sabi ko, ‘Naku, patay!' Sabi ko, ‘Hindi, Angel, para sa 'yo talaga 'yan.' "'Tapos, hindi nagre-reply. ‘Naku, patay,' sabi ko. Feeling ko, nagalit na sa akin. Ewan ko kung ano pinag-iisip niya. Sabi ko, ‘Puwede ba tayong mag-usap?' And they talked, admitting to each other that they were both feeling "something" for each other. At dawn of February 13, Oyo said, "I love you." And they marked that as their anniversary date. CLOUDY SKIES. Skies darkened for Angel in August 2005. Reports say that in Angel's condo unit, she and her manager Becky Aguila had a heated argument. The young actress accused Becky Aguila of mishandling her money. The story goes that when Angel asked an accountant to audit her finances, she found there discrepancies. Two months after, Angel confirmed the incident in an interview with Startalk. Becky Aguila aired her side of the story through Cristy Fermin's column. Becky's twins spoke on her behalf. The latter claimed that in the course of the argument, Angel pointed a finger at their mom and cursed her. The July 2006 issue of YES! magazine picked up this statement of Becky from tatakpilipino.com: "Mas masakit ang mga murang tinanggap ko mula kay Angel. Mas masasakit ang mga salitang lumabas sa alaga ko kaysa sa panduduro at amba na alternately nilang ginawa ni Oyo Boy na kahit hayop, e, hindi makatatanggap." In another write-up, this time in the tabloid Balita, Becky turned more upfront about the root of the issue. She was quoted as saying, "Hindi ko siya ninakawan! Hindi ako kumukuha sa kanya nang sobra-sobra sa commission ko. Angel knows the truth. And kung sakaling she has doubts and concerns, tinanong at hinarap niya dapat ako. I'm more than willing to show her financial statement. Puwede kong ipakita ang labas at pasok ng pera niya, wala akong kahit magkanong ginalaw sa sarili niyang pera." For more than a year, the two were not on speaking terms. An article put out by June 2006 issue of Hi! magazine reported that Becky was said to have told her ward that Angel's contract with her was "for life." According to lawyers that PEP consulted, there was "no such thing." Moreover, the actual contract indicated that the young actress was tied to her manager only until December 2006. The entire hubbub almost reached the courts. Then came the breakup with Oyo Sotto. Oyo and Angel called it quits on December 26, 2006, or just two months after they went public with their relationship. In a PEP article dated January 2, "lack of time" was said to be the cause of the breakup. Due to the actress's hectic schedule, boyfriend and girlfriend "barely managed a ‘hello' and a ‘good night' over the phone at the beginning and end of the day." Fame indeed has its price, and it cost Angel the relationship that seemed perfect at the time. In the aftermath of Oyo's and Angel's love story, the feuding GMA-7 primetime princess and her controversial manager reconciled. On February 5, Becky said to PEP: "Angel and I patched up our differences, came up with an agreement, kissed and made up with my twins last Dec. 27 [the day after Angel's breakup with Oyo]. Apparently, the complaint was filed earlier than expected and Angel will formally withdraw the case. "Past is past, everything is water under the bridge. We've been separated for a year-and-a-half. We're both making up for lost time. I'm spending more time with her and [keeping] closely in touch when I'm not. She also finds time bonding with my twins. We're even closer and sweeter the second time around. I'm glad that all's well that ends well with my twins and Angel. Finally my 'prodigal' daughter is back." Some said it was out of the kind heart of the young actress that she chose to forget her issues against Becky. Others assumed that Angel had lost Oyo, so she was turning to Becky, or that Becky made the move to get Angel back since Oyo was now out of the picture. Others said that Becky had a "hold"on Angel. In the same article posted by PEP on February 5, Becky insinuated deceit in those close to Angel. Said she: "Alam kong marami nang nakapagsulsol sa kanya. Alam kong may naglason na sa isip niya." The controversies did not rock Angel's career. The public saw her as "matiisin" at "mabait" in the midst of tribulations. They loved her even more. [omitted the rest of the article]

this is an old news but i am still posting here for our record ...Angel wants to end issue with Pauleen By ALEX VALENTIN BROSAS May 18, 2010, 11:10am Actress Angel Locsin wants to end the supposed rift of her group Ampalaya Anonymous with Pauleen Luna, while Ara Mina clears there’s no new rift between her and sister Cristine Reyes. For weeks now, Ampalaya Anonymous is said to be ganging up on Pauleen on Twitter. It is said that JC Tiuseco’s new-found closeness with Pauleen started to ignite the fire between the two camps. Tiuseco is rumored to have broken up with one of Amapalaya Anonymous members, Maxene Magalona. Clueless as to what caused Pauleen to flare up with her group, Angel said the matter could have been settled right away had the actress been vocal enough as to what it really was. As it is, nobody seemed to know what Pauleen had been yakking about in Twitter. “Hindi talaga namin alam. Kung binanggit, siguro may idea na ako kung ano ba talaga ang nangyayari. Ayaw din lang namin na...siguro may kaibigan kami na mahu-hurt or siya rin. Sana mapag-usapan kung ano,” Angel said on “Showbiz News Ngayon”, May 17. “Mas maganda kung diretsahan, hindi ‘yung maghuhulaan kami kung ano ‘yung problems. Mas maganda kung mapag-uusapan talaga,” she reiterated. Angel admits she was not chummy with Pauleen. Theirs was just a civil relationship. “Never naman kaming nagkaroon ng chance na maging close. Pero nag-uusap kami noong nasa channel 7 pa ako. We’re civil. Nag-uusap kami noong bini-BBM ko siya. Nandoon naman ang respeto.” When asked to clear the issue, Pauleen declined to give a statement. She hopes that by staying quiet, everything will turn out for the best for everyone. www.mb.com.ph/articles/257862/angel-wants-end-issue-with-pauleen-ara-denies-rift-with-cristine

MONDAY MAY 24, 2010 PHILIPPINES Malaya Heavenly bodyAngel Locsin is recognized as one of the country’s most talented female stars and is praised for her performance in films like "Let the Love Begin," "The Promise" and "Love Me Again," as well as in top TV series like "Only You" and "Lobo," which even earned her a Best Actress nomination at the prestigious International Emmy Awards. But the 25-year-old actress is not only known for her natural flair for acting but also for her gorgeous body as well. In fact, she is constantly featured in magazines, and was even named the country’s sexiest. Her sexy body can be attributed to her being a natural sports lover. Before she joined showbiz, she was a competitive swimmer. When she joined showbiz, she got more interested in other challenging sports like muay thai, boxing and even diving. It was no surprise that Century Tuna chose her to become the next Century Tuna image model, joining hunk and sports lover Derek Ramsay. "I’m really excited to be chosen as Century Tuna’s Superbod because I really love their products, which not only taste great but more importantly, help me stay fit and healthy. As its new endorser, I want to inspire others to live an active and healthy lifestyle as well," shared Angel. "We’re truly delighted to be joined by Angel as we position Century Tuna as a health and wellness brand. She’s a good role model as she herself embodies the Century Tuna healthy lifestyle with her love for sports and discipline in eating healthy to maintain her fit and sexy body" said Angela Gamboa, Century Tuna senior product manager. Century Tuna helps Angel maintain her sexy body and achieve a sound mind because it is super-packed with Omega-3 DHA, an important nutrient commonly found in tuna that boosts memory power, improves learning ability and maintains a positive mood while promoting a healthy heart. Because it’s also low in cholesterol and has no preservatives, Century Tuna also helps Angel keep herself in shape. www.malaya.com.ph/05242010/ent1.html

The simple KC unveiled in new show By CRISPINA MARTINEZ-BELEN May 24, 2010, 2:29pm Despite the glitter and glamour of showbiz life, she’s like anyone else – human and simple – and this side of her is what KC Concepcion will unveil in her morning talk show aptly titled “Simply KC” which started airing Monday on ABS-CBN. Everyday, KC will take on different journeys with her celebrity guests who will also show their true selves and give viewers a glimpse of their personal life. For the pilot week of the show, KC will have John Lloyd Cruz taking her to bumpy adventures like trail-biking which he has been doing in preparation for his upcoming teleserye “Imortal.” “I’m really excited with all the things I will get to experience and go through in this show together with my guests and the viewers. We will go to different places, meet a lot of new people, and most especially learn a lot of things,” KC said. Another celebrity guest in “Simply KC” is Jericho Rosales who will tour her around the marketplace while he shares “diskarte” tips he learned during his teenage life when he was working as a vendor and “kargador” in Concepcion Market, Marikina. “First time kong pumunta sa palengke at magkaliskis ng isda,” KC revealed. And then, KC will be challenged by brothers Luis Manzano and Ryan Christian Recto in their favourite bonding activity – Muay Thai kickboxing. Other guests to look forward to in “Simply KC” are Mariel Rodriguez, who will talk about her experiences growing up with her grandparents, and Pokwang, who will share the “craziest things” she did for love. For the first time, viewers will see KC riding the LRT and cutting the hair of some lolas in the home for the aged, Golden Acres in Quezon City. It’s really an exciting show; actually the first ever interactive morning show that tackles simple and real stories of people. “Kuwento ito ng mga totoong tao,” KC stressed during the presscon of her new show. KC said she hopes to be guesting in future episodes such popular personalities as Kris Aquino, Boy Abunda, Angel Locsin[/color], Toni Gonzaga, Andi Eigennman, and of course her parents, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, but not necessarily together, KC said. When she learned of KC’s new show, Sharon was really excited because that was what she was hoping for, a morning talk show for her multi-talented daughter. For those who may be questioning KC’s ability to host her own show, considering that there are a lot more “qualified” among the talents of ABS-CBN, KC was quick to remind everyone that she started out as an MTV VJ (she was such for two years when she was just 16 or 17). “Hindi lang kasi mainstream ito, so maybe not a lot of you watched my shows. I used to do six shows for MTV everyday, and just to think about it now, nakakapagod na…” She added: “I don’t know everything, but I’m learning…every project is a learning process. I’m really very comfortable doing hosting jobs.” KC is also one of the hosts of the popular Sunday showbiz-oriented talk show “The Buzz.” With “Simply KC,” it’s like “I went full-circle.” She added: “Pinagdaanan ko lahat: Acting, singing, dancing, and now back to hosting.” By the way, “Simply KC” is shown Monday to Friday at 9:45 a.m. before “Showtime” on ABS-CBN. www3.mb.com.ph/articles/258779/the-simple-kc-unveiled-new-show

Colby Miller ‘scores’ with Angel LocsinBy ROWENA JOY A. SANCHEZ May 25, 2010, 2:11pm Colby Miller was just about ready to give up on his quest to win Angel Locsin’s heart when he finally scored some attention from her. From May 17 to 21, the younger brother of MTV VJ and radio jock KC Montero made attempts to be noticed by the “tremendously beautiful” (as he described her) Emmy-nominated actress through his guest appearance on KC’s radio show. Colby unleashed in the show his inner Shakespeare in a series of love poems titled “Heavenly poem for my angel, Angel.” “I gave it a try. I don’t know what to do next. I didn’t get a phone call, not even a text. I hope I didn’t scare you, coz that’s not what I wanted. It’s just that I really want to meet you. But fairy tale’s over, I’m drifting in space… “I did what I came here for. I hope you don’t think I’m a dork. I’ve done all can, the ball’s now on your course,” read a part of his final poem for the Kapamilya star. On May 21, several minutes after Colby told KC, “There comes a point when you just have to stop chasing pavements,” KC said that Angel informed him she was watching their live stream but couldn’t call the radio station. To which both Monteros exclaimed, “Victory!!!” Indeed, “you can’t rush love,” KC said. Colby, who has extended his vacation in the country until June 9, vowed to take more “baby steps” to get to his beloved whom he called “my queen, my Filipino Beyoncé.” Prior to this, Angel had expressed her appreciation for Colby’s “valiant efforts” through Twitter: “funny hehe pls tell colby thanks☺,” she tweeted KC on May 19, referring to a link he posted of Colby’s poem. In his poems, Colby combined mush and comedy, as seen in the lines: “You are my princess and I am your toad,” “Give me a chance. What’s there to lose? I’ll work out everyday to avoid getting man boobs,” “After seeing this month's FHM I'm quitting internet porn,” and “We don't need Darna we will have the power of love.” He also recorded a song with his friend, R&B singer Kris Lawrence, that's dedicated to Angel. In the song, Colby coined a love team name for them: “Colgel” (for Colby and Angel), which, as its lyrics put it, “sounds like a toothpaste.” The former MTV VJ was also straightforward in his declaration of love for the actress. “I miss you although we’ve never met. I love you. With love, Colby,” he would always say at the end of every poem. Asked by his brother what song he would like to dedicate Angel, Colby chose Bread’s “Make It With You,” which was their parents' wedding song. www.mb.com.ph/articles/258915/colby-miller-scores-with-angel-locsin

MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA—Singer/composer Rico Blanco says he is excited to be part of the fantaserye ‘Imortal’ soon to be airing on primetime television. “Yung teleserye ang pagkakaabalahan ko in the coming months. It’s been a long time since I did acting for an indie film. May konting kaba pero mas na-override ng excitement. I am very excited and curious and interested in things—how do they make TV shows and movies. So here I am finding out first hand kung paano nga ba,” says the former Rivermaya lead singer. Imortal is one of ABS-CBN’s latest projects this year. The fantaserye will be the sequel to Lobo, a previous teleserye about werewolves. Blanco, now a solo musician, adds he is also excited to work with actors Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz. “Angel and John Lloyd are up there, if ever I was asked (of actors I wanted to work with) I don’t think about it on a daily basis. Considering Angel and JL are cream of the crop and I’m excited,” he says. Blanco isn’t exactly new to acting. In 2006, he played a role in Unitel Pictures’ digital movie entitled “Nasaan si Francis?” alongside seasoned actors Jeffrey Quizon, Paolo Contis, Christopher De Leon, Rio Locsin and Ricky Davao. Blogger iampopular gave Blanco a thumbs up for his performance in the indie film. What made him decide to accept the project for Imortal? “Matagal na rin akong iniimbitahan. I think baka dumating lang yung tamang time and project ngayon at hindi naman agad kasi pinag isipan din ng mabuti (bago ko tinanggap ang project). I am very thankful also na yung interest ng network is always there through the years,” he answers. So is he ready for the intrigues that could link him and his co-star Angel Locsin? (Locsin, incidentally, received an International Emmy nomination for her performance in Lobo) “Handa naman na kung anu-anong kasama sa job but I’ve a lot of faith in the maturity of journalists these days. They know I am going to be an actor and acting is what I’m gonna be doing so I’m ready for that and excited,” says Blanco, who . He says his relationship for two years with his non-showbiz girlfriend won’t be affected by intrigues and that they are ready for it. To prepare for the tapings and production, Blanco joined several acting workshops under the mentorship of acclaimed director Laurice Guillen. During his acting workshop with Angel, the young musician is all praises about the latter’s simplicity. On his career as a musician, Blanco says he will still continue to do concerts on weekends. His debut international album “Your Universe”—released in Singapore and Hong Kong—has gained a strong following especially his single “Lights” that topped radio charts in Hong Kong. loqal.ph/arts-and-entertainment/2010/05/25/rico-blanco-tries-acting-joins-fantaserye-%E2%80%98imortal%E2%80%99/
