Angel Locsin is Philippines’ Sexiest Womanby Marchie Mallari | July 03, 2010  Kapamilya star Angel Locsin reclaims the top spot of the most-awaited annual FHM Philippines’ 100 Sexiest Women in the World. As FHM reveals its list of the most alluring women in the world, Angel feels both surprised and overwhelmed that all she managed to say was “Thank you. Wow. Seryoso?” Though she is in disbelief upon hearing the news, Angel is still honored and grateful for being given the title twice already (the first time was in 2005). She says, “Honored pa rin. Angel Locsin is sexiest PinaySaturday, July 3, 2010 KAPAMILYA actress Angel Locsin tops FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. After months of waiting, it's confirmed that Angel is the sexiest Pinay this year by receiving a total of 284,156 votes. In 2005, she was also named as the magazine sexiest and just recently she was back again in the cover of FHM. "It's an honor and masaya ako kasi nagbabalik ako sa FHM kasi sa kanila din ako nagsimula," the actress said in a television interview. Following Angel is another Kapamilya talent Cristine Reyes. The "Kristine Series" star received a total of 227,390 votes and was down to second place this year. Cristine was last year's top one and was followed by Kapuso number one leading lady Marian Rivera with 218,742 votes. Iwa Moto came in at fourth spot followed by Angelica Panganiban (5th), Katrina Halili (6th), Regine Velasquez (7th), Bangs Garcia (8th), Ehra Madrigal (9th) and Jackie Rice (10th). Other Kapamilya stars who made it to the list are Empress Schuck, Andi Eigenmann, Sarah Geronimo, Bea Alonzo, Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Anne Curtis, Mariel Rodrigues, Toni Gonzaga, and Bianca Gonzales. Perhaps one of the breakthroughs of Pinoy Gossip Boy during its nascent months, in its predecessor blog, was when it was the first to confirm the break-up between then celebrity couple Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin.
After few days, media from various outfits picked up the story. The news was later confirmed by no less than the parties involved to the controversy.
Now, in an exclusive interview with a major broadsheet, Luis admitted, that she is still courting Angel Locsin.
Several months had passed and several men had been rumored to be wooing Angel but the passion is still on for Luis.
Below are excerpts of the news article as published in Manila Bulletin:
It will take more than five TV shows and two movies to derail Luis Manzano from courting ex-flame Angel Locsin, this, the host-actor told Bulletin Entertainment last Thursday on the set of “Hating Kapatid.”
“In fairness din kay Angel, her schedule is unbelievable. Yung pinagsasabay niya yung movie tsaka yung ‘Imortal’ (TV series,) that’s unbelievable. [The intention to win her back] ay hindi nag-iba. May mga bagong priorities lang. Parehong may mga priorities lang kami now,” Luis told a small group of entertainment scribes.
In fact, Luis made sure he congratulated Angel when she topped FHM’s sexiest. He said, “It’s a well-deserved award. Hindi naman siya kukunin ng mga endorsements niyang catering sa sexy side if she didn’t have the goods to back it up. Nakausap ko pa siya. The moment malaman ko na siya yung nanalo, tinawagan ko agad siya. Oo naman, [we still communicate] but we’re not together.”
Luis also affirmed Angel’s claim that she’s just friends with Chito Miranda. The “Wowowee” host revealed there were instances he spent times with Angel and her friends, including the Parokya ni Edgar frontman. “Kilala ko si Chito. Angel wouldn’t put any of us in that uncomfortable situation if there’s something [between them]. Tropa lang sila. She wouldn’t do that to any suitor [put them in one uncomfortable situation]. Pero matagal-tagal na since yung huli kong punta sa kanila.”
What is keeping them from being reunited is the kind of “mindset” they both have at the moment. “It’s not the schedule but more of the mindset. Yung schedule madaling magawan ng paraan yan eh but the mere fact that I’m also in showbiz, I know how an artista works, and vice-versa. The mindset is that we have to focus on other things na inihahandog sa amin ngayon.”

If Angel is shuttling between taping for “Imortal” and shooting her movie with Aga, Luis is juggling two films in “Hating Kapatid” and “Petrang Kabayo” while hosting the following TV shows: “Wowowee,” “Panahon Ko ‘To,” “E-Live,” “MYX” and “ASAP.”
Clearly, Luis is far from writing the last sentence of his chapter with Angel. He shared: “Yung first chapter ng pagbabalikan namin or yung panliligaw ko, she told me that she’s enjoying (singlehood) life, not necessarily work. There are things she needs to figure out for herself naman. So I told her I respect that. But I’ll still be here though.”
“Maliwanag yan from the start. Right now we’re both living life. I’m not necessarily waiting but it’s just that ang dami naming ginagawa. We’re maximizing the opportunities and if by doing so it leads us back together, I have no idea. All I can do is wait and see. Pero that’s the beauty of life, it never fails to surprise us.”In a TV report, Luis’s Twitter post was colored. The status read: “Women are from Venus. Men are from Mars. But why does your face look like Uranus (Read: Your anus).” Some quarters thought he might be hitting on Chito Miranda, which Luis vehemently denied. “May ganung issue ba? I have no reason to say that to Chito. Wala akong rason para sabihin yun sa kanya.” Wardrobe malfunction While shooting “Petrang Kabayo,” Luis suffered a wardrobe incident because he was only wearing boxers in one scene. He made sure though that the slip wasn’t caught on cam. “Blown out of proportion lang ‘yung issue na nakitaan ako. Malaking bagay ‘yun actually! Ako naman kasalanan ko naman pero walang nakita sa camera. Kasi nasa anggulo lang eh. Definitely walang nakita kasi yung camera nasa right side ko. Yung mga nakakita, nasa left side ko. Scene talaga at ako yung gumawa ng extra movement ng pagpapatawa so ako talaga ang may kasalanan at walang ibang dapat sisihin. Boxers talaga yung suot ko for the scene eh, boxers lang talaga yung suot ko at the time. It was only for less than a second. Wala namang wide lens yung camera so hindi nakita. Yung mga nasa left side, sila yung mga namuro,” he recalled of the uncomfortable accident. Ironically in “Hating Kapatid,” Luis was the subject of the funniest sequences in the movie even if the comedy banners Judy Ann Santos and Sarah Geronimo. Director Wenn Deramas made sure he was able to maximize Luis’s comic timing in the movie where the actor plays Sarah’s suitor who had to deal with the latter’s over-protective sister played by Judy Ann. Luis said about working with Sarah and Juday: “Take five, take six kami ni Sarah kasi pareho kami bungisngis. Regular duties ko sa ‘ASAP’ aside from hosting kulitin si Sarah. You look forward naman na mapatawa yung taong madaling patawanin. Juday naman plays the protective ate so may mga eksena din kami na pinoprotect nya. I never thought the day would come when I will work with Juday. Since she settled down I thought the day would never come because she’s slowing down na. Eh si Juday, she’s been around for too long that I consider her na isa na sa mga posteng industriya. Show after show, pinapatunayan niya na kung bakit nasa industriya siya.” Luis denied any negative impact Judy Ann’s pregnancy reportedly caused the film. “The only impact that her pregnancy had on the movie is yung cut off niya which we totally understand.” Judy Ann only works for nine hours max in a day.
