Angel Locsin reclaims throne as FHM Philippines' Sexiest WomanBong Godinez Friday, July 16, 2010 04:23 PM Angel Locsin made her triumphant return last night, July 15, as FHM Philippines' Sexiest Woman in front of a jampacked predominantly male crowd who all trooped to the World Trade Center in Pasay City to witness the annual spectacle. The Kapamilya actress—whose controversial network alliance shift back in 2007 made showbiz headlines—regained the throne she won five years ago by beating last year's winner Cristine Reyes. Angel garnered a total of 284,156 votes against Cristine's 227,390 while Marian Rivera placed third overall with 218,742. Rounding up this year's Top 10 are Iwa Moto, Angelica Panganiban, Katrina Halili, Regine Velasquez, Bangs Garcia, Ehra Madrigal, and Jackie Rice. Angel is a regular fixture in the annual list having made it into the Top 10 for eight consecutive years. The timing of her cover appearance in the magazine's May 2010 issue boosted her campaign at the last minute and eventually thwarted Cristine's bid for a back-to-back victory. Making the biggest leap in this year's race is Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez. Settling for No. 52 in 2009, Regine hopped to the 7th spot to overtake perennial favorites Bangs Garcia, Ehra Madrigal, and burgeoning babe Jackie Rice. An interesting bit of trivia: Regine holds the record for having the most appearances in the list despite the fact that she has yet to pose for the popular men's magazine. CARNIVAL THEME. Last night's carnival-themed affair was noticeably fast-paced: no host, no guest bands, and no lengthy intermission numbers. The welcome sight of hot mommas Jean Garcia and Eula Valdes on the long runway kicked off the sexy parade. Living up to its main theme, the event splendidly mixed carnival-inspired spectacles in between while celebrities and models commissioned to represent sponsors walked down the stage without letup. There were a few celebrities, however, who did more than just strut and display those curves. Sex guru and condom endorser Paloma pole danced, sexy actress Bangs Garcia suspended herself in midair, Pinoy Big Brother latest sweetheart Sam Pinto and Janna Dominguez became magic trick subjects. These were only some of the highlights. Celebrities whom male fans couldn't get enough of were Katrina Halili, Jackie Rice, Brazilian Daiana Menezes, Sam Pinto, Julia Clarete, Iwa Moto, Eula Valdes, and Jean Garcia. ANGEL SOARS. Angel Locsin's grand entrance—tied to a harness and wearing a pair of angel wings—was reminiscent of her past role as Alwina in the GMA-7 primetime series, Mulawin. Red confetti rained down from the rafters as FHM Philippines Sexiest Woman for 2010 was officially introduced to the waiting public. Angel then proceeded to do the customary victory stage walk to allow the fans to have a better glimpse of the actress. "Maraming salamat sa lahat ng bomoto... Very thankful ako sa lahat ng nagtiwala sa akin and nagpapasalamat din ako sa FHM dahil after five years, di ba, ako ulit? Parang kumbaga, kung mag-boyfriends, kayo parang nagkagalit lang kayo sandali tapos back again," Angel told the members of the press after the event. Many of those who made it to the top ten were conspicuously absent: Cristine Reyes, Marian Rivera, Angelica Panganiban, Regine Velasquez, and Ehra Madrigal. Angel feels that the stars mentioned opted to skip the event for valid reasons and not because they have anything against the outcome of the final tally. "Maski naman ako dati wala rin," said Angel, pertaining to her absence in the past annual victory party. "Ngayon lang talaga nag-effort talaga ako kasi bilang pasasalamat na rin." - PEP

from: www.afreemind.org/2010/07/fhm-100-sexiest-women-2010-pics/Random Thoughts. Scattered Ideas. FHM 100 Sexiest Women 2010 [PICS]by Sai on 16 Jul 2010 in Events July 15, 2010 – World Trade Center Manila, Pasay City – FHM 100 Sexiest Women 2010 Party – The second time that I attended this fun fun fun party! And here is the number 1 on the list, a lady that has a face as angelic and good as her heart. Ms. Angel Locsin! We arrived at the WTC around 7:30 p.m. and waited for ate Angie to get our tickets. People are all over the entrance area smoking and talking. When we finally got inside the venue, I was a bit disappointed on the setup of the stage, and I can’t help to compare it to last years’ party. Those who are on the non-vip area couldn’t get a good view of the runway and the models. The center area was all occupied by media men taking videos and photos while standing in a platform, which means, they’re blocking the view of the people on the non-vip section. I was expecting more than the previous year, but it didn’t happen. I am absolutely sure that there’s no host during the entire show, or maybe it is just part of the program? Not sure if there’s a band who played before we arrived. And as expected, the show ended up too early than expected. However, those rant were all gone when the number 1 sexiest women of 2010 graced the stage. And yes, she is absolutely an angel! For more photos and enlarged version of Angel's photos below, check out the site hereCredits to Victot for the pics. ...

FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women: They got nothin’ on Angel LocsinBy ROWENA JOY A. SANCHEZ July 17, 2010, 2:50pm Angel Locsin may well be the ultimate testament that a woman doesn’t need to wear skimpy outfits or do daring roles in order to be seen as sexy. For the second time in five years, she was crowned as FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Woman in the World at the magazine’s annual party last July 15. She was literally an angel, donning big, white wings similar to the costume she wore during her “Mulawin” days in the Kapuso network. With a little help of harness, Locsin, wearing an elegant black tube mini-dress, descended from the air and gracefully landed at the center, surrounded by her fellas, who also made it to the 100 sexiest list. The predominantly male crowd who thronged the World Trade Center shouted warm cheers for the actress as she ramped on the stage with B.O.B.’s “Nothing On You” on the background. Indeed, the other girls got nothin’ on the sexiest lady in the country. For this year, the show’s theme was “Carnival,” and true to its name, the production numbers and even the women’s outfits were spectacular. Former Viva Hot Babe Sheree led the belly dancing number, wearing gypsy-ish costumes; Sam Pinto and Janna Dominguez became a magician’s subjects; Bangs Garcia did an acrobatic number with dancers wrapped in a full silver suit; “Wowowee” girls did their signature moves (splits and booty-shaking); and Paloma did some pole dancing. Of course, the men also eagerly awaited for the celebrities to walk on the stage. Jean Garcia, Eula Valdes, and Julia Clarete proved that mommas could still be as hot as the single ladies. Francine Prieto and "StarStruck" alumni Jackie Rice, Iwa Moto, and the controversial Katrina Halili, as always, got the "woot-woots." Another highlight of the event was the hula-hoop number of a Caucasian lady, who impressively danced using multiple hoops, and at one point, approximately over 20 silver hoops! Models also owned the stage during the sponsors’ catwalk numbers with their eye-popping Victoria’s Secret-inspired costumes, which left little to the guys’ imagination. Throughout the fast-paced show, cameras kept on clicking and flashing here and there, in the guys' attempt to get the best hot shot. Naughty comments can also be heard every time one of the ladies really catches their attention and, if we may say, “appetite.” The boys may have missed some of the hot women in this event. Noticeable no-shows were top two and three sexiest ladies Cristine Reyes and Marian Rivera, Angelica Panganiban, Ehra Madrigal, and Regine Velasquez. But well, they can always use their imagination, can’t they? - Manila Bulletin

Top 10 Hottest Moments at FHM’s 100 Sexiest Victory Party
Jon Rodriguez | Published: 16th of July, 2010 1. The steamy carnival opening number. After 10 glorious years of bikini-clad babes, FHM still holds the title of throwing parties that can shock, awe and scintillate sexy all in one go. This year, the men's magazine fired up the festive vibe with its carnival-themed party. 2. Models, models and more models on the runway. It seemed like the parade of runway beauties--barely-clad models flaunting perfectly-shaped bodies-- would never end. 3. The Wowowee Dancers wow-wowed we. The tireless dancers of noontime show Wowowee led by Saicy Aguila brought their act to the FHM stage. Without the kitschy set and the controversial host, the dancers proved that their appeal was certainly not limited to geriatrics, foreigners, and kids. 4. Entertainment was non-stop. Beat drummers, pole dancers, belly dancers, hula hoop dancers, and contortionists, you name it, FHM had it. It certainly helped that one of the belly dancers was named Daiana Menezes. 5. Cougar alert: Eula Valdez and Jean Garcia! Jean and Eula still have what it takes to make men of all ages drool. These two cougars appear to be in this for the long haul. 6. Bangs Garcia did her own stunts. When Bangs said that she would be "doing something different" at the party, no one could have guessed that it involved a harness and 20-foot lunges. The sight of someone as dazzling as Bangs being hoisted in the air was kind of scary, to say the least. Perhaps that is why the audience was titillated and agitated at the same time. 7. Sam Pinto brought out her magic. The magician at the party did the greatest magic trick ever: turning a yellow dress into Sam Pinto. As a first-time FHM cover girl (for July) and a new entry in the 100 Sexiest list, the stunning Sam has officially enchanted us all. Now, Mr. Magician, about that magic trick... 8. Jackie Rice was all spice. Although the entrance of Jackie Rice did not draw the loudest cheers (that honor goes to Julia Clarete), you could almost feel the weight of the stare of the whole World Trade Center shift towards her direction when she walked down the runway. Jackie has the kind of fresh face that you could just stare at for hours. 9. Katrina Halili is back. A list of the sexiest women without Katrina Halili just wouldn't be right. It was still refreshing to see her work her magic. Even if she has been in the top 10 sexiest list since, like, forever. 10. Angel Locsin soared. The grandest theatrics were reserved for the FHM's sexiest babe. Just when everyone thought that the show was over, Angel, complete with angel wings, hovered down to the stage for us mere mortals to have a glimpse of her undeniable beauty. Angel's victory was very much deserved. She garnered more votes than three Presidential candidates combined, after all. - Spot.phPhotographs by Warren Espejo.
